Our range of services includes:

New patient exams

Cavities can happen very quickly in baby teeth due to the combination of feeding habits, poor cooperation about oral hygiene, or parents’ uncertainty about proper techniques. As a result, we generally recommend you bring your child to us by the time they are age 1 to check for weak enamel and give you practical advice to prevent problems.

Checkups and cleanings

Cavities are common for children and we recommend routine checkups and cleanings every 6 months to help guard against them.

Consultations

When your child is referred to us by your family dentist, we will book a consultation so that they can become acquainted with our office and our staff. This is an important step in determining your child’s needs and behavior, as well as discussing treatment options.

Sealants

Dental sealants are a tried and tested treatment for preventing cavities in children and teens. They are applied to the grooves of molars to act as a defense against cavity-causing bacteria.

Space maintainers

While baby teeth are nature’s best space maintainer, they don’t always work the way they are supposed to. If space is not kept open for the adult teeth, it can cause problems. We recommend space maintainers to guard against this.

Fillings

For smaller cavities on the teeth, we use tooth-colored fillings which help preserve the natural look of your teeth.

Crowns; stainless steels crowns

For larger cavities, on baby molars fillings might not be enough. The best treatment is a stainless steel crown instead.

Extractions

Dental Extractions may be used for several reasons, such as crowding, over-retained baby teeth, or painful and infected teeth. We can perform general extractions for your child using local anesthesia.
